For all you Garand owners that want 'options' to the 8 round clips...
Creedmore has 1, 2, 5 clips HERE. These are good quality, and work well for competition shooting or if you're taking your M-1 in the woods and there is a five round limit...
Or if you live in NY... Just sayin...

Ironic coincidence. Yesterday I reloaded enough 30-06 to load ten clips. This afternoon will be the same, only in AP.
ReplyDeleteWhatever you use, keep your thumb out of the way.
ReplyDeleteCarteach- LOL, you can use the 'sled' for single shot testing of your loads...
ReplyDeleteWSF- Oh yeah!!!
Real Garand shooters just single-load their rifles without such fancy clips, or cross two cartridges in an 8-rounder in true Camp Perry fashion. And you're not a real Garand shooter unless you've experienced "M-1 thumb" at least once...just sayin'.

Murph- I don't know many that 'know' that trick anymore... And I got 'bit' back in the 60's... sigh
ReplyDeleteI've no doubt The Powers of New York will disregard such clips. The fact the M1 itself can take 8 rounds renders it EVIL!!!
ReplyDeleteStretch- You do have a point! Sigh...
ReplyDeleteProud to say made it through Basic with the thumb intact. Did observe a dealer at a gun show a couple of years ago become familiar with the term.
ReplyDeleteWSF- Good for you, "I" on the other thumb, learned the HARD way... sigh...
