For those who are fans of Creedmore Sports, they are leaving California and moving to Alabama...

Yet one more buisiness leaving California for greener pastures!!!
On or before April 15th, 2013, Creedmoor Sports Inc. will cease
all operations at our Oceanside, California location and relocate to our newly
acquired facilities in Anniston, Alabama. We have dubbed this move "Operation
Roll Tide".
The decision to move was based on several factors including;
business climate, proximity to greater number of customers, employee pool and
growth potential.
Our new facilities are located aboard old Fort McClellan, ten
minutes North of CMP Headquarters in Anniston. Morris Building of Anniston began
construction and renovation February 4th on the existing building and on a new
addition. Many of our employees key to production and operations will be moving
with us, thereby minimizing any potential disruption to service.

ReplyDeleteNever bought anything from them, but I will now.
ReplyDeleteWonder if anyone in Sacremento is tracking how many business license/tax accounts are not geing renewed each year?
ReplyDeleteNice way to say the laws and the taxes drove them away.
ReplyDeleteI'm probably the only one to think of this, but can anyone tell me what the new Creedmore Sports building used to be?
ReplyDeleteChurch? School? Mortuary?
The business environment in California is completely toxic.
ReplyDeleteI used to live in Anniston while my Dad was stationed at Ft McClellen. I am curious what building they used. As I understand it, Ft McClellen was BRAC and turned over to the state.
ReplyDeleteWSF - not exactly what you asked for, but here's a link discussing what the economists call 'disinvestment events' in CA.
ReplyDeleteRobert- Yep, they'll be local to you!
ReplyDeleteeia- Agreed!
Les- First domino???
SNBI- They DO have good stuff!
WSF- I'm sure they are, and NOT publishing that data!
CP- Yep!
Rick/MRG- It was part of the base, probably an admin??? I don't have a clue!
LL- And getting worse!
Tim- Thanks!
Hardly a surprise, eh?
ReplyDeleteMy sister was born on Ft. McClellan.
ReplyDeleteGlad to know there will be other good products coming from there.
What will it take to teach Californians about business?
ReplyDeleteLike Michigan in the 80's.
ReplyDeleteRev- The only surprise is that it took THIS long...
ReplyDeleteStretch- And good folks too!
Opus- Bankruptcy???
Ed- Yes, and MI has yet to really recover.
Makes me wonder how long before other manufacturers and suppliers get the same idea. Hey, Utah is gun friendly and we'd love to have them here!
ReplyDeleteSix- I 'think' this is the bow wave...
