There's been a lot of chatter about Paul Harvey's "Farmers" soliloquy on the Super Bowl ad for Dodge...
Here's another one- Originally done in 1965, this version is probably from the mid-90s...
This one is really eerie when you consider what is happening now 18 years later...

The pattern isn't new. But it works.
ReplyDeleteThat is self-evident.
Used to listen to his news broadcasts every day on country radio as a child. Didn't know what conservatism was back then, but thought he made a lot of sense. He was the only conservative voice on radio, pre-Rush.
ReplyDeleteMiss him. Used to listen every day.
ReplyDeleteAlways enjoyed what he had to say.
ReplyDeleteI've heard this many times and it is freaky how close he called it.
ReplyDeleteSmart man, Paul Harvey.
ReplyDeleteI miss The Rest Of The Story Programs
ReplyDeleteLL- Very true...
ReplyDeleteBob- Yep, concur!
PH/Agirl- Yep we did too.
CP- It is!!!
WSF- Yep, LOT smarter than people thought...
Rick- Oh yeah!!!
I remember listening to Paul Harvey all of the time with my dad when I was younger. I loved listening then and still enjoy hearing him now. His sign off in that video just brought back memories of Saturday mornings working outside with my dad. I surely know who made me who I am today and it mostly wasn't me. I wish parenting today was what it used to be.
